Gamescom 2018

It was a very busy week for us last week. We’ve worked hard in our house for three days straight (we are remodelling) and went to Gamescom for three days after that. Why? Well, we offered to help out at the First 4 Figures stand. And man, am I knackered…

Edit: video added.

Look’s like I’ve got some things to do!

I think that most of the people my age that gamed as kids have fond memories of a certain purple dragon. Last year, First 4 Figures released the main guy from the Spyro games for pre-order. Now, a year after, the second statue of the line sees its chance to shine!

I want to drive this!!

Okay, I have some weak spots. Maybe a lot, depends who you’ll ask… One of those weak spots are replica’s, 1/18 famous cars and Fallout. I’m not sure how The Wand Company came to know this, but they decided to play with my emotions and made something that combined those three weak spots. It is not fair to hit me with something like this. Just how could I resist it?

It’s more than a fairytale

One of my favourite artists is J. Scott Campbell and I love it when they take his art and make a statue from it. We already have a Spiderman* series based on his designs. And now, his biggest personal artwork line is getting statuealized!
Yes, I know that isn’t a real word…

Something old, something new and something blue

I’m not a fan of reproductions, but on the other hand, it does give people a chance to own something that has been long out of production… Especially with older games, like for the NES and SNES, it can be a nice thing. That is, as long as it’s being advertised as being a reproduction and not sold as the genuine article. iam8bit is a company that’s coming out with some reproductions that I was tempted to buy.

Another beautiful white wolf

Easily one of the most beautiful games I ever played was Okami. It had such a unique and well done art style that worked well for the Wii that I couldn’t help but fall in love. And now, First 4 Figures makes me fall in love all over again!

Uga Buga!

One of the most memorable, and fun, games from my childhood has to be Crash Bandicoot. I’ve played the first game on the Playstation a lot!

She’s getting old…

Twenty-two years ago, my brother got an awesome game on his PC. A PC I wasn’t allowed to touch. Which meant of course that I tried to guess his password each and every time he wasn’t looking. And when I succeeded, I got to play this awesome game. Never got passed the training level, but hey, I was only eight at the time…
