One of the RPG series that always interested me, but which I never got around to actually playing it, is the Tales of series. I already got four PVC figures from this series and I’m always looking at the others just because I really like the designs of the characters. Now that I’m getting a little bit more time then I used to have during my previous education, I’m having a hard time not to buy the Tales of special editions. Especially this one; Tales of Xillia. While this edition is nothing big to write home about, it does contain some nice things and for a price that’s not bad either. Next to the game, it will also include an exclusive 21.5cm (~8.5inch) Milla Maxwel figurine. That is, including the base, which probably is about 2-3cm high. Next to the figurine, it’ll also include an artbook consisting of 100 pages with original artworks from the development team and the soundtrack of the game.

If you pre-order it now, you’ll also get some free preorder bonus DLC. In this DLC, you’ll get a bonus costume set (dress Jude as Cress Albane from Tales of Phantasia and Milla as Stahn Aileron from Tales of Destiny) and a bonus theme (wallpaper and icons).

As a side not, here’s the backstory for this latest installment in the Tales of series:

Tales of Xillia follows Jude Mathis, a clever medical student attending school in the capital city, and Milla Maxwell, a mysterious woman accompanied by four unseen beings. Players will be able to choose either Jude or Milla at the outset of their adventure through the world of Rieze Maxia, where humans and spirits live together in harmony. The kingdom of Rashugal has been experimenting with a powerful source that led to draining the mana from the world. Realizing the harm it is inflicting on the world, Jude and Milla set off on a journey to destroy it and restore the mana back to the world.
