Granted, this isn’t the first MJ they’re making. The first one was based on another one of our favorite artists, namely Adam Hughes, and we both like her a lot. But since we don’t collect any other scale then 1/4th unless it’s something game-related, we passed on her. Shame since I also really loved the Black Cat from that line as well… Well, can’t have all right.

Of course, when we saw this statue presented on this years SDCC, we were sold on it instantly. This is just such a lovely MJ and based on one of my favorite prints as well. And, like I said, designed by one of our favorite artists; J. Scott Campbell. We love and own several things of him (all signed).
Unfortunately, it’s a 1/5th scale sculpt… Fortunately, it’s the first in a line of (currently) three pieces. So, we debated back and forth and you can probably guess… we ordered her.

The one thing I don’t like about this piece is that it doesn’t has an exclusive edition. It wouldn’t have been that hard to make one. A steaming cup of coffee would have been nice. Heck, I’d even settle for the art print (see picture 5 in the gallery). But no, not only does this have an insane edition size of 6.000, it also doesn’t have an exclusive…
Ah well, at least I can put our official J. Scott Campbell art we have behind her.

Now, I really hope SSC doesn’t screw this up since I’m really in love with this one.
